Обзор Intel HD Graphics 520

Intel HD 520 – графический чип, интегрированный в младшие процессоры Intel Core i3, Core i5 и Core i7 поколения Skylake (6 поколение). Видеочип отличается достаточно неплохой для встроенных решений производительностью и способен потягаться даже с некоторыми дискретными видеоадаптерами.

Технические характеристики

HD 520 – младший видеоадаптер 500 линейки Intel HD, поэтому его характеристики могут вам показаться достаточно скромными.

Intel HD 520 состоит из 24 унифицированных процессоров, тактовая частота которых может достигать значения в 1050MHz, что не является выдающимся результатом. Тем более, что реальная тактовая частота может быть ниже (приблизительно на 50-100MHz). Максимальная частота доступна лишь на самых мощных моделях CPU, в которых встроена данная графика.

Память

Объём памяти на Intel HD 520 состоит от количества установленной на компьютер ОЗУ а также настроек в UEFI BIOS. Своей памяти у интегрированных видеокарт практически никогда не бывает, её попросту негде распаять.

Благодаря использованию ОЗУ стандарта DDR 4 у Intel HD 520 не будет проблем в недостаточной пропускной способности памяти даже при использовании очень дешёвых планок. Хотя покупка более дорогой оперативной памяти позволит получить дополнительную производительность, но в большинстве случаев это того не стоит.

Для запуска игр и программ имеется поддержка всех актуальных API: OpenGL 4.4, DirectX 12, OpenCL 2.0 а также фирменный API компании Intel – технология Quick Sync. Хотя даже не смотря на поддержку всех самых современных технологий, HD 520 подойдёт отнюдь не для всех задач, тут сказывается достаточно слабая производительность — «болезнь» практически всех интегрированных видеокарт.

Для каких задач подойдёт Intel HD 520?

В первую очередь — это нетребовательная офисная работа в приложениях или сёрфинг интернета. Если вы хотите использовать компьютер именно для этих задач, вам отлично хватит производительности встроенной графики, поэтому покупка внешней видеокарты будет глупой затеей.

Также интегрированные решения отлично себя чувствуют в компьютерах, работающих в качестве домашних кинотеатров. HD 520 обладает достаточной производительностью для просмотра фильмов или видео во всех разрешениях, включая UltraHD (4K). Для контента более высокого разрешения данной видеокарты может не хватить.

В игровом плане всё не особо хорошо, среди современных проектов немного какие игры пойдут на Intel HD 520, и это при полной поддержке DirectX 12. Причина этому — ужасная производительность чипа в играх. Хотя инди-проекты должны запускаться нормально, ведь большая часть из них не блещет графическими наворотами.

Со старыми играми всё намного лучше, они будут работать на высоких настройках графики с хорошей частотой кадров.

Хоть Intel HD 520 и можно использовать в специализированных программах для обработки графики или видео. Его производительность лишь ненамного увеличит скорость работы такого ПО. Для профессионального софта лучше использовать что-либо посерьёзней.

Оверклокерские возможности у видеокарты нулевые, разгон графического чипа отсутствует. Единственное, что остаётся у пользователей HD 520 для небольшого поднятия производительности — возможность разгона оперативной памяти.

Драйвера

Компания Intel выпустила неплохой драйвер для операционных систем Windows. Для его установки потребуется загрузить программу с официальной страницы Intel и запустить его. Дальше потребуется лишь следовать инструкции установщика. В общем — ничего сложного в установке драйвера на Windows нет.

Выполнить обновление можно через настройки Intel или скачав новую версию программы с официального сайта.

С операционными системами, основанными на Linux, ситуация сложнее. В них вам придётся выбрать, какой именно драйвер использовать: проприетарный, разработанный компанией Intel, или свободный, разработанный сторонними разработчиками. Проприетарный драйвер лучше, но он поддерживается не во всех дистрибутивах и довольно сложен в установке и настройке. Свободный драйвер устанавливать не нужно, но он практически во всём проигрывает проприетарному.

Какой дискретной видеокарте соответствует Intel HD 520?

HD 520 находится приблизительно на одном уровне производительности c Nvidia GT 730, более слабые дискретные решения не смогут ему составить никакой конкуренции.

Если у вас имеется процессор с интегрированной графикой уровня HD 520, не стоит покупать всякий дискретный хлам низкого ценового сегмента. Имеет смысл докупить более мощную видеокарту среднего ценового сегмента, тогда вы получите довольно сильную прибавку к производительности. Практически все бюджетные «затычки» проиграют данному интегрированному решению.

Intel is not obligated under any other agreements unless they are in writing

and signed by an authorized representative of Intel.

GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS. The Software is provided with «RESTRICTED

RIGHTS.» Use, duplication, or disclosure by the Government is subject to

restrictions as set forth in FAR52.227-14 and DFAR252.227-7013 et seq. or its

successor. Use of the Software by the Government constitutes acknowledgment
